We currently offer a respite care program to families within our RTF, RI network; as well as community Respite Provider partners’ networks. Respite is designed to give families a break for caring for their loved ones in a safe and secure environment. Respite is offered as an episode of service generally 18 day (3 days Fri, Sat Sun) for a six month period.
After completing an episode of service clients may request to be maintained for a future episode when other clients waiting for e service have received service. Respite may be regrouped differently upon availability of service Respite providers. For example: breaks from school or summer vacation.
We collaborate with the family and the CSSS worker in order to plan all Residential and respite placements in advance.
